Verso — Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 2026
Verso is a reading app built to respect you. It is not a data-collection product, and there is no account, subscription, or login.
What we collect
Nothing. Verso does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Your books, reading position, and settings live entirely on your device. We have no servers and no database, so there is nothing for us to see, sell, or lose.
Analytics and tracking
None. Verso contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites.
Network use
Verso works fully offline. The only time it contacts the internet is when you import a book or choose a cover: it sends that book's title, author, or ISBN to Open Library (operated by the Internet Archive) to tidy up the book's metadata and download cover art. This request is anonymous. It carries no account, name, or device identifier. Only the book's title, author, or ISBN. Like any internet request, it does reveal your device's IP address to Open Library; Verso has no server of its own, so we never see or store any of it. Open Library's own privacy policy is available at https://openlibrary.org/help/privacy.
Children
Verso does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
